Former President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday received the family of the late Agnes Awotwe Pratt, a dedicated and committed member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Effutu Constituency.

Speaking to the family delegation, that visited him to announce the funeral arrangements, the former President described Madam Pratt, as an influential member who was also instrumental in the organization of the Party in the constituency, especially among the women and youth groups.

"We've all admired her dedication, from the PNDC era, even before the NDC was formed", President Mahama added.

President Mahama used the occasion to advise the leadership and members of the NDC in the Effutu Constituency to put away their differences, unite and work hard to reclaim the Effutu Parliamentary seat in the 2024 election.

Also at the meeting were; the National Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, former Minister for Education Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, former Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and the Minority Chief Whip in Parliament, Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak.
