International Relations Officer for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kwame Baah-Nuako says Kumasi Asante Kotoko may take legal action against Accra-based Peace FM for defamation.
Kwame Baah-Nuako speaking on Asempa FM’s Sports Morning Show on Wednesday said the management of Kotoko will not sit down for the club's hard earned reputation as well as the reputation of its management members to be soiled needlessly.
According to him a presenter of station on Sunday, 29th May, 2011, accused the management of Kotoko for playing a "match of convenience" with Liberty Professionals in their week 29 fixture at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium which Kotoko lost 3-2.
He added that the presenter also accused Kotoko officials of fielding an unqualified player (Daniel Nii Adjei) so that in the event of Kotoko winning the game, Liberty could have had solid grounds to protest for the points.
This Baah-Nuako believes, was the height of absurdity and wondered why a journalist would not crosscheck his facts before making those unguarded statements.
