On Saturday, February 8, 2020, Lycee Francais Jacques Prevert, popularly known as the French School will host this year’s edition of its annual Open Day event.
On the day, the school will host the general public as well as other relevant stakeholders to get them closer and also give them a deeper insight into their academic structure and its procedures.
Scheduled to commence at 9 am and end at midday, the Open Day provides the opportunity for a special guided tour for members of the public to inspect the school’s facilities.
The public also gets to interact with trained and experienced teachers and other professional staff on various subjects.
There will also be a presentation on the school’s curriculum which is centred on developing strong analytical skills, oral communication, autonomy, sense of organization and reasoning.
The school has a multicultural student population and environment which will be experienced at first hand by guests on the day.
There will be information on the recently opened British International section for the 2020 academic year which led to the ongoing recruitment of English language, literature, history and geography teachers for primary, secondary and high school levels.
Speaking about the Open Day, the headmaster of the school, David Ballieu said that “enrol your child in the Lycée Français d’Accra for excellence and fulfilment and multiculturalism.
“You are assured of excellent results in French exams, in the preparation of English and Spanish language certifications, leading to further studies in the best French and international schools and universities”.
He added that “Our program and courses offered are expanding with the creation of the Theatre option for Senior High School students and the opening of the British International Section this year.
This will give our students from grade one to twelve the opportunity to obtain the prestigious French Baccalaureate with International section option”.
