The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has been named State-Owned Enterprise of the Year at the prestigious Public Enterprise League Table (PELT) Awards, cementing its position as one of Ghana’s top-performing public institutions.
The organisation also secured two additional honours—Overall Best Specified Entity and Most Profitable State-Owned Enterprise—completing an impressive triple win.
The awards, organised by the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), recognise excellence, efficiency, and strong financial performance among state-owned enterprises and specified entities.

GoldBod’s success reflects its growing influence and effectiveness within Ghana’s economic and extractive sector landscape.

Receiving the awards on behalf of the Board, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Richard Nunekpeku expressed gratitude to SIGA for the recognition, describing it as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the institution’s leadership and staff.

“We are proud of this milestone, but we remain focused and determined to keep pushing harder to exceed our targets and deliver even greater results,” he stated.

GoldBod’s achievement is expected to boost investor confidence and reinforce its role in advancing Ghana’s resource management and broader economic transformation agenda.
