President John Mahama has promised to build houses for teachers next year. He said the project will be priorized to help solve some of the major problems faced by teachers. He said instructions have been given to the GETFUND to ensure this is done. Addressing some 87 teachers selected from across the country to receive various awards at the 18th edition of the best teacher’s award scheme on Friday, President Mahama said this is just one of several motivation packages to boost the morale of teachers for them to give off their best. President Mahama said special kindergarten training programs are being instituted in various teacher training colleges to give special attention to kindergarten education. Education Minister Lee Ocran later told JOY News Seth Kwame Boateng that construction of the residential facilities will start next year.
