Officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) have opened an Accra-based Metro TV after it was shut down for non-payment of tax, Myjoyonline.com has learnt.
The closure reportedly happened on Tuesday when workers of the company were preparing for the station's midday news.

Myjoyonline.com's sources at Metro TV say the previous owners are to blame for the situation because they failed to inform the new owner about the debt.
The Labone-based station was acquired by sanitation giant Jospong Group of Companies this year after the past owners faced some challenges.

But after a meeting between the new owners and GRA officials, the TV station has been opened for business.
The development came days after the Accra Mall nearly faced a shut down for non-payment of taxes to the tune of ¢2.3million.
It was the decision by management to settle the debt that saved the mall from a total shut down.
