President John Mills has asked Muslims to rededicate themselves to their faith and contribute more to the development of the country.He said this is one of the ways the country can prosper.President Mills was speaking at the Independence Square Friday when he joined Muslims to mark the end of the Ramadan Fasting.He congratulated them on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.“Many of you are very much interested in the development of our nation and I will ask that especially at this time you remember our country in your prayers so that together we can build a better Ghana.“…Do not let your fasting be in vain; continue to seek the tenets of Allah; of the Muslim faith and I know you will be in the position to contribute effectively to the development of our nation."President Mills reassured Muslims that their impending trip to the holy land will be smooth.He urged members of the hajj committee to be transparent, fair and objective in the organization of the hajj in order to ensure that the usual needless controversy that comes with the pilgrimage will be avoided.
