The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development on Wednesday directed that all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies nationwide be inaugurated concurrently on Tuesday, March 15.
A statement issued in Accra by Mr Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development said all Regional Ministers, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives were, therefore, entreated to take note of the inauguration date and make the necessary arrangements to ensure a successful inauguration of the MMDAs.
It said a list of designated personalities who would represent President John Evans Atta Mills to inaugurate the assemblies would be communicated to all Regional Ministers and MMDCEs in due course.
