CAF has directed for the use of the MRI test during the qualifying stages of the African U-17 Championship following its success during pre-competition.
The latest decision was approved by the CAF Executive Committee at its recent meeting in Egypt.
"The Medical Committee has been instructed to continue the use of
MRI to determine the age of players at the qualifying stages of the African U-17 Championship," said a CAF statement.
"They have also been charged to ensure the authenticity of the process as well as the identity of players involved."
CAF's medical team will conduct the test which will see the bone density of wrists of players scanned to ensure an accuracy of at least within one percent under the age 18 during the qualifying stages of the 2015 African U-17 Championship in Niger.
Ahead of the start of the African U-17 Championship in Morocco this year, CAF did the mandatory test which passed all members of the Black Starlets squad.
Despite Ghana going through, there were setbacks for Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Congo as some players from their teams failed the test.
