Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs beat visiting Ashanti Goldfields 2-1 in the Week 29 Premier League match played at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday.
After referee S. B. Botwe from Takoradi signaled the two sides into action the game started on slow pace but it was Seidu Bancey who livened up the game when he scored the opener in the 35th minute for Dwarfs through a spot kick.
Ashgold returned the attack and after dictating the pace of the game for some time, they managed to get the equalizer through a free-kick well taken by Mohammed Yakubu in the 44th minute.
Back from recess, Dwarfs resumed fiercely and managed to increase their goal tally to two through Nicholas Gyan when he scored the match winner in the 60th minute to worsen Asgold’s predicament.Source: GNA
