Regional vetting of parliamentary candidates of the ruling NDC is ongoing in some regions across the country.
A deputy General Secretary of the party, George Lawson, says although the party has completed vetting in 7 regions, it is yet to vet aspirants in the Northern, Eastern and the Greater Accra regions.
He told Joy News this is just the second phase of selection of parliamentary aspirants ahead of primaries on the 21st of this month.
He indicated that after the regional vetting, there will be a national vetting for the aspirants from the 7th to the 10th of January.
Meanwhile, in the Northern region, Joy News correspondent Mahama Shaibu reports that vetting went on smoothly on Monday and should be completed on Tuesday.
