New Dwarfs coach Prosper Nartey has set sights on maintaining the Premiership status of the Cape Coast side after replacing J.E Sarpong.
The former Elmina Sharks coach who lectures at the University of Cape Coast is confident the team has ample time to recover from its predicament.
Nartey is fully aware of the task ahead of him.
“I know there is pressure at Dwarfs and it is because in football and coaching you can’t do without pressure especially in Ghana,” he told Asempa Sports.
There is so much pressure in football and you can’t take pressure out of it because it is part of the game and as a coach you should know when to deal with the pressure when it arises.”
“My aim is to help the team out of the relegation zone and we thank God the first round has not come to an end and we have second round of matches so I will sit down with the management and the technical team to see how we can get out of the relegation zone and that is our major ambition.”
“I wasn’t an insider, I was only watching their matches so when I start meeting the various stakeholders of the team, I will be able to pinpoint the major challenges of the team that has prevented the team from performing.”
