As part of preparations towards the 2017 edition of Joy FM's annual charity programme, Joy Easter Soup Kitchen, some benevolent organizations have made donations to support the event.

On Wednesday, Access Bank Ghana, one of the leading banks in Ghana presented assorted food items valued at GHC15.000.00 to Joy FM. The items included three bags of rice, 20 boxes of bottled water, 10 cartons of soft drink, three boxes of Juvita fruit drink, 11 boxes of noodles and bales of used clothes.

Group Ideal, a business group that manages a diverse portfolio of businesses also presented 20 bags of rice to support the programme. The company said the donation was part of its corporate social responsibility.

Earlier this week British Columbia College Ghana donated Ghc1000.00 and assorted food items as part of their contribution to feed the destitute in the society.

In another development RT Angels of New Hope, a child welfare NGO operating in Ghana, presented rice and cooking oil to support the event.
