The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on the Minority Caucus in Parliament to strategize on the way forward for the party.
The maiden meeting was chaired by party chairman Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey.
Several issues came up for discussion - both from the executive side and that of the parliamentary caucus.
Some of the issues bothered on finance, assets of the party, national restructuring of the party which has been ongoing since 2009 as well as the role of the caucus in the day to day running of the party.
Both sides called for subsequent meetings to deliberate on how soon to hold the party's primaries to set the stage for the party to overhaul itself in unity towards running a formidable campaign for the next elections.
The leadership expressed its willingness to work as a team with the caucus in steering the NPP to victory in the 2012 elections.
On their part, the parliamentary caucus also pledged to support the new leadership, promising to work hand in hand with them for the success of the party.
