Lawyer for former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, Frank Davies, has dismissed suggestions that his client is on the run, insisting the former Minister is “doing well” and has made himself available through legitimate legal means.
Speaking to Joy News, Frank Davies stressed that Ofori-Atta is not in hiding and continues to rely on his faith as the legal processes unfold.
“But we all know where he is. A wanted man cannot fare well. He is good. He is sustained by the good Lord every day,” he said.
Mr. Davies added that the legal team has followed all permissible processes, emphasizing that his client is cooperating through the appropriate channels.

His comments follow a statement from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) refuting claims that it is refusing to work with the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice to facilitate Ofori-Atta’s extradition.
The OSP had earlier placed the former Finance Minister on a wanted list and issued an Interpol Red Notice over his alleged involvement in ongoing corruption investigations.
The extradition process, if activated, would allow the state to bring the former Minister back to Ghana to face criminal charges.
Ofori-Atta served as Finance Minister under the New Patriotic Party administration from 2017 until his exit from office.
This development has drawn public attention, with some questioning the pace of the extradition process. But Frank Davies maintained that his client “has made himself available through legally permissible means” and is not evading justice.
