Mrs Letitia Asante, mother of the late Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, has described her son as a miracle child and the fulfilment of her prayers.
"You were not just my child; you were my miracle, my answered prayer, my only son, and my treasure in whom I am pleased," she said at the state funeral in Accra on T
She recalled the moment she first held him in her arms on 26th December 1975 at Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital, saying she instantly knew her life had changed forever.

Mrs Asante said she had watched him grow from a curious little boy with bright eyes into a man of wisdom, compassion, and unshakable integrity. “Every step you took, I was there quietly cheering, praying, and believing in the greatness God placed in you,” she added, her words moving mourners to tears.
