Parents of some final year students of the Wenchi Senior High School who have been suspended indefinitely are calling on the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service to intervene.
The 13 students were suspended for leading a demonstration last year against what they described as the poor management style of the headmaster.
Speaking to Joy News, the parents said the decision to prevent their wards from writing the final exams would jeopardise their future.
Speaking on behalf of the parents, Madam Emelia Asante, a parent, said she had registered her son for the exam but the money was returned to her.
She was worried that the deadline for registration has passed and her son had been crying daily.
Mrs Asante said despite apologies and appeals by the parents for the school’s authorities to tamper justice with mercy, the authorities had remained adamant.
