President John Mahama has urged the chiefs and people of the Eastern Region to exercise restraint over the execution of certain planned development projects.
These include the crafts Village and the Aburi-Nsawam road which he said are a priority for government because of their economic significance to the country as a whole.
President John Mahama was speaking at Aburi on Saturday, when he joined the people in the region to celebrate the Odwira festival.
He said the Craft Village and the road will be commissioned simultaneously, when completed and handed over to government.
President Mahama also denied reports that government plans to sell off the Aburi Gardens.
According to him, government is rather advancing moves to get a strategic investor for the garden as requested by the chiefs and people of the land.
