The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of 'In My Father's House' Orphanage at Abor, have donated some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other items to the management of the School to fight the coronavirus disease.
The gesture by the PTA was part of measures introduced by the Association to propel the academic performance and safety of staff and pupils of the school.
The items presented include footballs, soft drinks, washable face masks, face shields, gallons of hand sanitizer, gallons of liquid soap, and others.
Mr Clemence Kafui Ansah, Chairman of the Association, in his address during a short presentation ceremony underscored the need for all parents and individuals to ensure proper monitoring on safety for staff and pupils of the School.
He said it was the PTAs aim to keep addressing some needs of the School since the "Centre is noted for housing orphans and school children."
Mr Ansah further appealed to other benevolent groups and organisations to support the School in achieving its target of assisting orphans and the sustenance of academic excellence.
Mr John Agbadi, Headmaster of the School, who received the donation, expressed gratitude to the Executives of the Association for their gesture, assuring that it would be used for its intended purpose.
He also encouraged pupils of the school to take their studies with all seriousness it deserves.
The ceremony was attended by some members from the Keta Municipal Assembly, Education staff, parents, and other opinion leaders within the community.
