First, I agree that not all marriages work out as planned. Bad things happen, even to SINGLE people. Yes! Bad things happen but your argument is fundamentally flawed, and this is why.

The Bible says in Proverbs 18:22: “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD”.

In fact, long before Paul gave his advice, God said, "It is not good for man to be alone; I will make a helper suitable for him." (Genesis 2:18).  God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it..." Genesis 1: 28.

 It was emphasized in the Bible that: “For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh:” Genesis 2: 23 & 24.

Tell me, from creation, when God said, “be fruitful and increase”, was God talking about the artificial insemination you are alluding to? I guess NOT. It is a good thing (and a God thing) for a man to find a wife and get married.

When a man finds a wife, he has found a good thing and obtains favor from God. It is very tempting to rephrase the Bible verse to read, "He who finds a good wife finds a good thing". Although the Bible says, “An excellent wife is the crown of her husband” (Proverbs 12:4a), the word “crown” means that it is a reward.

That means, “Excellence” will be achieved only through the hard work and commitment of the husband to lead the wife in a daily walk with God.  The word "find (s)" means not just to find, but also to obtain or discover.

The word means more than just accidentally stumbling upon something. Thus, find as used here means to search for something. Therefore, the man must search (find) for a wife from God. If he finds (obtains) one, it is a very good thing he has gotten.

If a man finds a wife from the Lord, He will give him one according to His wisdom. Scripture says, “House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a PRUDENT wife is from the Lord” (Proverbs 19:14). Also, as Proverbs 31:10 said, “An excellent wife who can find?”

 It is only God who crowns a man with an excellent wife. If a man finds a wife from the Lord, he obtains favor from God. That is, the wife becomes a blessing to the man instead of shame (Proverbs 12:4).
