Almost one week after assurances that reports of investigations into a number of shooting incidents will be released to the public, the police are yet to fulfill that promise.
DSP Cephas Arthur of the police public affairs directorate speaking on Ghana Connect on JOY FM on October 18 was emphatic the reports will be released in batches beginning, Wednesday October 23.
Joy FM can report that up till today, Tuesday, October 29, those reports have still not been made public.
It would be recalled that police officers shot and killed three suspected armed robbers at Mallam Atta market in Accra. The report of investigations into that incident is yet to be made public even though JOY NEWS has learnt that the police have exonerated themselves from wrongdoing.
There are expectations from the public also awaiting the report of investigations into how police officers mistakenly shot and killed their colleagues on patrol duty in Winneba as well as the report on the brutalization of civilians by police officers at Cantonments here in Accra.
