Three people are reported dead after the canoe in which they were using to cross the Volta River on Saturday night capsized.There were seven people on board the canoe including a pregnant woman and a baby. Among the four who survived was the baby whose mother also died.The canoe from Doffor Adidome moving to Voluvo in Osudoku was some few metres away from the shores when it was caught in a heavy storm.Joy News’ correspondent in the Eastern regional Benjamin Tetteh reported that the deceased included 19 year old Mary Dorsoo, 18 year old Joyce Akligo who was said to be pregnant and Samuel Kuwordzi who was said to be in his 30’s.
