New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant Bryan Acheampong’s tour of the Volta Region has turned into more than a political journey — it’s become a cultural embrace.
From the rhythmic beats of Agbadza to the colourful woven sash draped around his shoulders in Keta, the region is responding not with protocol but with passion. Volta is falling in love.
Every stop has carried an air of celebration. Market women pause to wave. Youth groups line the streets, drumming and chanting his name. Chiefs and elders greet him with open smiles and heartfelt blessings. In Adaklu, the crowd surged with excitement. In Anlo, the atmosphere felt spiritual.

“He’s not just talking — he’s listening,” one local executive remarked. “Volta feels seen.”
At a gathering in Central Tongu, an elder declared, “Bryan nye dzidzɔ le egbe la me” — Bryan is joy in our midst. Another added, “Ne wòva dɔme, wòva nu vɔ̃” — When he comes among us, he brings peace.
Bryan Acheampong has been dancing Agbadza with the youth, sharing laughter with fishermen, and praying with pastors. His message of unity, discipline, and empowerment resonates deeply. Yet, it’s his humility that’s winning hearts.
The visit comes at a critical moment. Polling by Global Info Analytics already places Bryan ahead in the Ashanti and Eastern regions — both crucial battlegrounds.

A strong showing in Volta, long considered a kingmaker region, could shift national momentum decisively in his favour.
This tour isn’t just politics. It feels personal. The Volta Region isn’t merely hosting Bryan; they’re claiming him as one of their own. And with every handshake, every drumbeat, and every exchange in Ewe, the connection grows stronger.
As the sun dips over the Keta Lagoon, one thing is certain — Volta is falling in love with Bryan. And the feeling, it seems, is mutual.
