Two boys aged 9 and 16 have drowned in a dam at kpetoe – Anatikorfe in the Volta region after going there to wash their motorbikes.
The 9 year old Korku Klu was fetching water from the dam when he slipped and drowned.
His elder brother, a 16 year old student of Agortime senior High school, Paul Klu, was also drowned in an attempt to rescue his brother.
DSP Felix Toya, the Kpetoe District Commander of Police, said the body of 9 year old boy was retrieved and deposited at the municipal hospital.
