Authorities at the Tafo Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti region, have committed to ensuring a peaceful, smooth population and housing census.
The Assembly is therefore urging residents to be cooperative in the collection of reliable data for effective planning.
About 281 enumerators and supervisors would be recruited for the census in the Old Tafo municipality. Seventy more would serve as backup to ensure a smooth collection of data.
Municipal statistician, Gifty Oforiwaa Tawiah says the number would ensure effective data collection exercise.
The scheduled fourteen-day period of data collection starts from June 28 to July 11, 2021.
Municipal Chief Executive, Fred Obeng Owusu has appealed to political parties and religious leaders to support the exercise. He said his outfit would ensure a smooth exercise.
With the distribution of logistics, finalization of systems and trials, the Ghana Statistical Service has assured that it is ready to conduct the 2021 population and housing census.
