The Volta Regional Minster, James Gunu says his administration will leverage the tourism potential of the region for its development.
He said as captured in the National Democratic Congress's manifesto, the government would support infrastructural development and provide the necessary interventions to develop and promote tourist destinations to grow the local economy.
Mr Gunu said this when he paid a working visit to an ambitious hospitality project in the Ho Municipality aimed at enhancing the tourism landscape of the Region.

The upcoming Safari Resort being developed in phases, is estimated to cost US$23 million.
During the visit, the developer, Dr. Donald Agumenu, said the Resort would provide a luxurious five-star experience for its guests.
With its strategic locations, the Safari Resort aims to establish the Volta Region as a prime tourism destination within the sub-region, attracting local and international visitors.

Dr. Agumenu expressed optimism about the project’s potential to boost the local economy by creating jobs and promoting the unique cultural and natural attractions of the area.
With plans for top-notch amenities and services, developers of the Safari Resort are promising to redefine hospitality in the region and contribute to the overall growth of tourism in Ghana.
