The Government says it has taken notice of the ruling by a High Court on the Ya-Na case and the subsequent reaction by a section of the public. A statement issued by Mr John Tia Akologu, Minister of Information in Accra on Tuesday, said Government wishes to assure the public of its commitment to the rule of law and fairness to all manner of persons. "Accordingly, Government has directed the office of the Attorney General to study the ruling and take immediate steps as to ensure that justice is done to all persons affected by this ruling," the statement said. Meanwhile, the Government has called on the feuding factions, Abudus and Andanis, to remain calm as it takes appropriate steps legally to ensure justice and fairness to all. Source: GNA
