Bechem United's title aspirations were dealt a slight setback on Sunday as they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by a resilient Young Apostles side at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
The draw denied Bechem United the chance to break into top four this weekend as Kotoko, Bibiani GoldStars and Nations FC all secured victories to keep their title hopes alive.
Despite dominating possession and creating several promising chances, Bechem United poor finishing let them down.
Emmanuel Abban the leading scorer for Bechem United was marked out of the game by Young Apostles defense.
The Hunters have scored in their last seven games but failed to convert this time against the newly promoted side Young Apostles.
Meanwhile, Apostles, who were desperate to steer clear of the drop zone, held their ground and frustrated their opponents.
The result leaves Bechem in fifth place, three points below league leaders Bibiani GoldStars while the Apostles remain 14th, hovering just two points above the relegation zone.
Both teams will return to action in Week 18, with Bechem aiming to maintain their unbeaten streak against Nations FC and Young Apostles hoping to climb further from the danger zone against Nsoatreman FC
