The Paramount Chief of Nkonya Wurupong, Nana Kwadwo Asiakwah II has lauded President Nana Akufo-Addo for a successful governance in his first term as president.
During a courtesy call by President Akufo-Addo on the people of Nkonya Wurupong, Nana Kwadwo Asiakwah II stated that Akufo-Addo's governance has had a positive impact on the country.
"We support you Mr President, your one term of office has been positive. We applaud you and keep it up," he said.
Speaking to the traditional authorities of Nkonya Wurupong, President Nana Akufo-Addo stated that just as promised in his 2016 manifesto he has delivered exactly that in his first term of office.
"If you join the elephant of the New Patriotic Party, all you would know is growth and progress. The NPP came to make the country a better one by improving all sectors of the economy."
Nana Kwadwo Asiakwah II also admonished the president not to encourage ethnocentrism during his campaign towards December polls.
"We are one and there should be no campaign based on tribalism," he said.
