At least seven people were killed in an accident at Adansi Fumso, in the Ashanti region on Tuesday night.
The victims include three school children who were returning home from school. The accident involved a taxi cab and a mini Benz bus.
Police say the two vehicles collided head-on killing four passengers on the spot as well as the taxi driver. Two other victims died shortly after they were rushed to the Edubiase hospital.
An eyewitness, who claimed to be the fiancée of the taxi driver, told Joy News she accompanied the taxi driver to a fitting shop where his taxi cab was being serviced.
She said on reaching the fitting shop the taxi driver got into the cab which had been serviced in an attempt to drive away only for a Benz bus to ram into the cab.
