The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) headline sponsor of the Black Stars has commended the senior national football team for their spirited display which resulted in a 2- 0 win over the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde at the ongoing AFCON tournament in South Africa.“As we celebrate this victory with the rest of the country, we say AYEKOO! We at GNPC are optimistic that the burning desire to recapture the cup, which has eluded us as a nation for 31 years, will spur you on further to bring the trophy home to Ghana,” the Chief Executive of GNPC, Nana Boakye Asafu-Adjaye, said in a statement.“We encourage you to continue to stay focused and determined and there is no doubt that you, our gallant stars would make our nation proud.“GNPC acknowledges your hard work and we assure you of our continuous support as you advance to the semi-final stage of the tournament,” he added.
