Deputy Black Stars Captain John Paintsil, who has been in the news lately for assaulting his wife, may have attempted suicide according to one of his Blackberry Messenger status updates.Shortly before he collapsed and was rushed to the Ghana-Canada Hospital Tuesday, he posted the following message on his BB status: “I will rest in peace …goodbye loved once[es],”.News of his collapse came as a surprise Tuesday morning.It is not yet clear what may have caused the collapse but he was revived by medical officers and released from the hospital shortly after he arrived.Joy Sports can confirm that shortly after he was discharged, he posted another BB status update reading, “That was close.
