Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has been released on bail after being arrested for allegedly driving whilst disqualified. The Argentina international had his driving licence suspended for six months in January after pleading guilty to two counts of failing to supply information relating to incidents in which his Hummer vehicle was caught by speed cameras, while also admitting to not having a drivers' licence. The former Manchester United forward has since been bailed pending further inquiries, with a spokeswoman for Cheshire Police revealing: "At 5.13pm yesterday (Thursday) police arrested a 29-year-old man from Alderley Edge on the A538 in Macclesfield. "The man was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified and has since been released on police bail." Tevez was reportedly driving a white Porsche Cayenne when he was held by police on Thursday as a result of "information provided". No bail date has been released.
