Seven persons are feared dead in an accident at Donkorkrom in the Kwahu Affram Plains district of the Eastern Region.
The seven, all men, were onboard a crane truck with registration 4067 AW when the accident occurred.
The victims were said to be part of holidaymakers travelling from Donkorkrom to a beach at Agodeke as part of the Christmas festivity.
The cause of the accident is yet to be established but residents who rushed to the scene to rescue victims believe the driver lost control of his steering wheel and plunged the vehicle into a nearby bush.
A resident, Kasim Kabore says police in the area have been able to arrest the driver of the vehicle to assist in investigations.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the dead have been deposited at the Presbyterian hospital in Donkorkrom.
