Works and Housing Minister Alhaji Collins Dauda has expressed doubt over the ability of the contractor working on the job 600 building to complete work by the June deadline.
On Monday, the Minister, his deputy, and some technical men from the ministry toured the facility which will host Members of Parliament when completed.
Joy News’ Yaa Fosuah Gyamfi who was part of the team that toured the facility said the Minister expressed his discontent when he saw progress of done so far.
The Minister stated if the project is not completed by the June deadline, the ministry would be forced to take action.
Meanwhile ADK Consortium, the firm charged with oversight of the construction of Job 600 project are requesting an additional 26 million top up to facilitate speedy work.
Job 600 was constructed initially to serve as the venue for the 1965 meeting of the Organisation of African Unity (now the African Union).
The project to renovate the edifice into an office complex for parliamentarians started 16 years ago.
However, the new initiative, which is being executed by China State Hualong Construction Company, started two-and-a-half years ago.
