The Member of Parliament for Akim Swedru, Kennedy Osei Nyarko has assured his constituents of his resolve to facilitate the development of the area.
Mr. Osei Nyarko pledged to use the four year mandate entrusted to him as MP to make sure resources are distributed fairly and equitably, stressing, parochial divisive partisanship will not be considered in his administration.
He gave the assurance when he undertook a three week tour of the constituency to learn at firsthand, what the immediate needs of his constituents are and help to fast track strategies in resolving them.
The MP observed, bad roads, electricity, water, sanitation and accommodation for teachers, are the core problems facing the people of the area. He indicated that plans were already in motion to get some of these needs immediately resolved.
He indicated the reshaping of trunk roads within the constituency to make them convenient for the people. The MP has facilitated ongoing constructing of a six unit flat as teachers’ village, to attract and motivate teachers and curtail to the high attrition rate of teachers in the area.
Meanwhile, Mr. Osei Nyarko donated about 80 packets of roofing sheets and 500 bags of cement to about ten communities, as part of his agenda to help some communities in the constituency under his own initiative dubbed “Self help improvement projects”, to build market and stalls for the people.
The MP has also sponsored an ongoing construction of six boreholes across the constituency, to resolve the water problem in the constituency.
