Nollywood actress and producer, Chioma Akpotha has arrived in Accra ahead of this year’s International Youth Empowerment Summit (IYES).
The Africa Movie Academy "Best Actress in a Leading Role’’ will join other guests at the National Theatre from August 21 - 23 to address both Ghanaian youths and their counterparts across the world.

Interacting with the media just after her arrival Tuesday at the Kotoka International Airport, she could not hide her excitement to join the IYES train to once again inspire young people.
IYES, a non-profit organization, has been created to encourage the youth, aspiring entrepreneurs and top-class personalities in Ghana to network and share ideas in an environment aimed at shaping the youth’s intellectual, spiritual and emotional growth.

It also brings the Ghana youth from all walks of life and motivates them to achieve their dreams while developing leadership skills through seminars, practical opportunities and revival summits.
Samira Bawumia, the wife of Ghana’s Vice President, is the special guest of honour for 2019 edition of the event.

Speakers for the program include CEO of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Emmanuel Asigiri, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, and Rev. Eastwood Anaba.
Dr Kofi Abban, Amma Frimpomaa Dwumah, John A. Kumah, Bola Ray, Zanetor Rawlings, Pastor Samson Amoateng and Pastor Daniel Amoateng and Nigerian actress, Chioma Akpotha will interact with the youth during the event.

This year’s edition powered by Hitz FM and Joy Prime will have two sessions each day. Morning sessions begin at 8:30 am with evening sessions commencing at 5:30 pm.
The event will be hosted by the founder of IYES, Pastor Brian Amoateng.
