The Pride of the North, Real Tamale United (RTU) will host premiership new entrants, Kessben F/C at the New Tamale Stadium on Sunday, January 6 in a ninth week Onetouch Premier League fixture.
In the words of Mr Kwaku Ampim-Darko, Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in charge of Technical Duties, the decision to shift the match from the Kaladan Stadium to the new venue was to afford the National Sports Council (NSC) authorities the opportunity to test the facilities at the new stadium in readiness for Ghana 2008.
He implored all stakeholders to treat the announcement as authentic and endeavour to assist in organizing the match successfully.
The New Tamale Stadium is a 20,000 all sitter capacity facility built to serve as one of the venues for Ghana 2008, which commences on January 20.
Angola, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia are pooled in Group D and are billed to play their group matches at the venue.
