Five people including a woman have collected nomination forms to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary primaries in Ahafo-Ano North Constituency.
They are Mr Kwame Owusu Frimpong 48, Incumbent Member of Parliament, Mr Kingsley Nsia Poku 47, Senior Regulatory Officer, Food and Drugs Board, Mr Richard Akuoko Adiyia 53, Financial Assistance, UNILEVER Company, Mr Yaw Boadu Ayeboafo 35, Post Graduate Student, Manchester University and Nana Akua Asantewaah 51, Caterer in Kumasi.
Mr Obeng Darko, Assistant Constituency Secretary of the Party disclosed this to Ghana News Agency in an interview at Tepa-Ashanti.
He said each of them paid GH¢200 for the forms and was optimistic that before the close of nominations at the end of the month two other contestants would join the race.
However, Mr Darko said no date had been fixed for the primaries.Source: GNA
