Apostle Kadmiel Agbelenyoh, Head of the Seven-Day Church of Theocracy, at the weekend entreated the Church to use the platform to preach against crime, conflicts, illiteracy and HIV/AIDS.
Apostle Agbelenyoh gave the advice during a sermon at the headquarters of the church at Homedakrom near Attiakrom in the Eastern Region on Saturday.
He said the church could contribute development by using its platform to discuss and offer solutions to problems facing the nation.
According to him, “it was important for the church to provide best ways to conflict resolution, promotion of peace and reconciliation among the politicians and the general public."
The Apostle stated that should be a strong relationship between the church and the government, which could transcend all artificial barriers that might divide the nation and plunge it into trouble.
He noted that the country was getting to general elections and that it behoved on all politicians to guide against insulting utterances, adding, when this is ensured all communities could live in the country as one people with a common destiny.
Apostle Agbelenyoh called on the church and the State to build a strong partnership to enhance social, religious and economic development of the country and mentioned that; "this is why the Church of Theocracy continue to embark upon numerous educational programmes to combat the HIV/AIDS menace at Breman Brakwa and in Akim Oda areas".
