The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has designed a new journalism competition to introduce younger audiences to its English news programmes.
The competition called “BBC News Maker” will be launched in Ghana on Thursday, March 1, by BBC presenter Komla Dumor with a special debate competition at the British Council in Accra.
The programme is not opened to practicing journalists and organizers say it will afford younger people the opportunity to get their voices heard internationally on issues that matter to them.
Two young winners of the competition will be rewarded with lap top computers and the chance to broadcast to 42 million people around the globe.
