A six-member committee has been set-up by the Bank of Ghana at the Ghana Education Service (GES) headquarters to help in the education and awareness creation for school children on the re-denomination of the currency slated for July.
Paul Kofi Krampah, Assistant Director of Public Relations and a member of the committee said already officials from the Bank of Ghana had taken the committee through orientation and briefing on the subject.
He said the Bank of Ghana was providing materials such as brochures, posters, pamphlets and other educational needs to assist the committee to organize workshops and seminars for five persons each from every regional education office throughout the country.
Mr Krampah said the trainers were expected to train other district education workers, especially teachers, who would in turn educate school children in particular and the public in general.
He said this collaboration was necessary to ensure better education and the success of the re-denomination exercise.
