Read full text of the speech read by ECOWAS Chair and President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, at the 69th UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday September 25, 2014.
President Mahama's speech was dominated by the deadly Ebola scourge which is currently spreading across West Africa and is believed to have killed over 2,000 people in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria since the outbreak began in February.
