A magistrate’s court at Bibiani in the Western Region has remanded a 27-year-old farmer, Kwaku William into prison custody for allegedly stealing a goat valued GH¢50, at Sefwi Surano ‘A’.
The accused, who pleaded guilty, would reappear before the court on June 10, 2009.
Police Inspector Lucky Goglomi told the court presided over by Mr. Osei Kofi Amoako that the complainant, Mr. John Armah, also a farmer lived in the same community with the accused.
He said at about 3pm on May 21, this year, a witness in the case saw the accused chasing the complainant’s livestock that went to graze.
Inspector Goglomi said the complainant detected that his goat was missing and following a tip off by the witness, he rushed to William’s house only to find the dead goat in accused's kitchen.
