The Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) says it will operate remotely for the period of March 17 to 30 as part of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
This directive comes at the back of a ban on public gatherings and the closure of all schools across the country.
Earlier on Sunday, March 15, health authorities announced that six cases of the disease have been recorded in the country in less than 48 hours.
Later that day, in a televised address, President Akufo-Addo ordered the suspension of all public gatherings for the next four weeks.
According to him, there should be no meeting exceeding 25 people. He is also urging for social distancing and better hygienic practice among Ghanaians.
Acknowledging these directives in a press release, the Chief Executive Officer for CBOD, Senyo Hosi said while pursuing the safety of their members, the group will in no way neglect its responsibility to the country.
