Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya West George Andah has donated some items to the Awutu Senya West District Health Directorate.

This act is in line with improving the quality of healthcare delivery in the area and augment the fight against the novel coronavirus.

The items which are expected to be distributed to various health centres include hospital beds, fridges, trolleys, wheelchairs, cabinets, gun thermometers, gloves, face masks, alcohol-based sanitisers, Veronica buckets and bar soap for hand washing.

Some of the items were also distributed to police, transport operators, market women among others who offer essential services.

Presenting the items, the Deputy Communications Minister stressed on the need for constituents to see healthcare as a collective effort for which individuals must give their utmost attention.

Ghana has recorded 152 cases of COVID-19 including 4 deaths and 2 recoveries.

George Andah did not mince words touching on the gravity of the coronavirus pandemic and the need for all to adhere to the stringent measures outlined by the government and the World Health Organisation (WHO) in order to stay safe.

He urged constituents to rally around government to fight the pandemic since the pandemic knows no party colours.
