The Agormanya area head of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle James Gabriel Quardson is admonishing politicians to be measured and decorous in their speeches even as they campaign to lure Ghanaians to vote for them ahead of the December 7 elections.
According to him, the country will continue to enjoy peace before, during and after elections if politicians lead the way.

The man of God said this when the Church of Pentecost, Agormanya area, launched a campaign to rally all political parties and other stakeholders to commit to peace while restraining themselves from acts of violence ahead of this year's elections.
The Area Head urged the Electoral Commission to undertake its activities and conduct itself as it has been constitutionally mandated to do with all fairness and transparency.
"We call on the government and all state institutions to pursue good governance in such a way as would guarantee the peace of our country".

He pleaded with security agencies to conduct themselves within the highest level of their professional codes and remain neutral in dealing with law breakers.
“As we launch this campaign, we equally call on all stakeholders for their unflinching commitment toward the peace of the nation.
“We call on the government and all state institutions to pursue good governance in such a way as would guarantee the peace of our country,” he stated.
On his part, the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister who is also the NPP parliamentary candidate for the area, Samuel Nuertey Ayeetey said: “a country without peace, there's no development. We can only develop when we embrace peace and tranquillity".
The MP for the area and NDC parliamentary candidate, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi who also saw the need to commit to peaceful coexistence, urged the relevant state institutions to conduct themselves in a manner that serves justice to all.

“In all that we do when the people feel insecure they become irrational, insensitive, they become intolerant because they are not too sure about themselves," he explained.
Other religious leaders, security officers, as well as chiefs took turns to preach peace.
