When a young Scottish man took a bold step and began to blend whisky in a grocer’s shop, he had no idea that he was laying the foundation for what would become one of the world’s most renowned whisky brands.
John Walker’s spark, vision, and entrepreneurial fire were the ingredients that came together to grow the Johnnie Walker name and ultimately, a new future for scotch whisky around the world.
Two hundred years later, Johnnie Walker is still walking, and to celebrate this momentous occasion, the iconic brand has released limited-edition icons for Red Label, Black Label, Gold Label, and Blue Label.
In true celebratory form, Johnnie Walker, Ghana’s number 1 whisky brand, has launched House of Walker Accra.
This first to world, unique retail store and Bar 200 opened its doors for the first time on Saturday, November 28, to an exclusive group of guests who got the opportunity to experience the 200-year history of Johnnie Walker and enjoy the award-winning whisky.
Speaking to invited guests at the opening, Samori Gambrah, Marketing & Innovations Director at Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC., described House of Walker Accra as “the first-of-its-kind in Ghana, aimed at unlocking new social experiences for everyone.”
Located at One Airport Square, House of Walker Accra opens to the public from the 1st of December and will run till the 31st of December.
Every week, visitors over the age of 18 will be treated to a variety of unique experiences including paid access to Bar 200, limited-edition merchandise and so much more.
House of Walker Accra promises to be an exciting and memorable experience for all.
