A social media user called Kaly Jay was the first to tweet #FixTheCountry and it has eventually turned into a Twitter campaign.
The campaign has garnered over 300,000 tweets with thousands of signatures for the online petition and many celebrities who have contributed to it.
John Dumelo, Mr Drew, Yvonne Nelson, Efia Odo, to mention a few, have openly added their voices to the cause.
The appeal is to encourage the countries politicians to deliver on their campaign promises, which is the least they could do.
Kofi Jamar also tweeted:
“You know Ghana was the first black African country to gain independence, We influenced Nigeria and a host of other black Africans to fight for freedom too. If we get Ghana back in shape. You will see the influence on all other Black African countries. #FixTheCountry”
