Former President, John Mahama has sent congratulatory messages to Hasaacas Ladies following their triumph over Morocco's ASFAR.
The Ghanaian side advanced to their first ever final of the CAF Women's Champions League after securing a 2-1 win over their counterparts from Morocco.
Mr. Mahama, in a post on Twitter, shortly after the game hailed the ladies for their performance.
Doris Boaduwaa gave Hasaacas Ladies the lead in the 34th minute but that did not last for so long as ASFAR's Najat Badri leveled up in the dying minutes of the first half.
A fine opportunity for Perpetual Agyekum to restore Hasaacas Ladies' lead from the spot went begging.
With 12 minutes left for the full-time whistle, Evelyn Badu put the Hasmal Ladies in the lead again after heading in a cross from Doris Boaduwaa.
The Hasmal Ladies will face the winner of the semi-final game between Mamelodi Sundowns and Malabo Kings.
The grand final of the competition has been scheduled for Friday, November 19, 2021.
